Scottish Renewables' Burns Supper 2024

Energy trade body, Scottish Renewables, wanted to showcase the success of Scotland’s booming offshore wind sector with a traditional Burns Supper celebration.

Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, one of Glasgow’s most historic buildings, was a stunning backdrop for a special Burns Supper for 450 renewable energy professionals from across the UK and beyond.

Guests were treated to a sparkling drinks reception amongst the Museum’s magnificent collection before enjoying a traditional 3 course Burns Supper beneath the exquisite vaulted ceiling and ornate chandeliers - featuring Tunnock's and Irn Bru treats! Glasses were raised for the Address to the Haggis, and Toasts to the Laddies and Lassies provided some traditional Burns humour before joining together for Auld Lang Syne. The event was superbly hosted by Scottish actor and screenwriter, Gareth Morrison.

Claire Mack, Chief Executive, Scottish Renewables

“We used Bright Green Events to produce our Offshore Wind Dinner again in 2024 having had such a great experience with them previously. The great thing about Lisa and Carly is that they are so invested in making each and every event a real success and talking point. We had a great venue to work with but they brought so many great new ideas to really bring it to life. The feedback we got was amazing; it's really helped to make the event stand out amongst others in the industry. Such a pleasure to work with people who are not only professional but who want to be genuinely proud of their results. It adds up to a true partnership approach and exceptionally memorable events.”
